Academics

The educational program at FCA has a strong Christian emphasis and is approved and accredited by the Mississippi State Department of Education. It includes academic classes, vocational training, an observatory, a full sports program, and an active music program for grades 7-12. More than 90 percent of all French Camp Academy graduates go on to higher education.

Our Philosophy of Education

We recognize that God is the source and center of all knowledge, wisdom, and meaning. All that He has created us for His own glory and purposes; all learning is a gift from God to be used responsibly by students in their unique ways.

French Camp Academy embraces an environment of Christ-centered excellence in education that encompasses respect for one another and focuses on life-oriented, active learning to make God a part of everyday life for its students.

In all courses, our certified teachers seek to integrate faith and learning in the classroom. For the most current course offerings, please contact our principal's office at 662.547.6113.

Results From Our Academic Program

Our teachers are gifted, dedicated, and provide individual attention when our students need it. As a result, our young people thrive academically. Academy students compete in regional and national Beta Club activities, and consistently, FCA has increased its ACT score to an average of 21+. This score exceeds the state average.

Dress Code

We have four words to describe the dress code at French Camp Academy: modest, clean, neat, and appropriate. All students during school hours are required to wear khaki pants or shorts and designated polo-style shirts (gray, white, or cobalt blue). During winter months, students must wear the Land's End Polar Tec, a full-zipped front jacket that's comfortable and attractive. Go to Lands' End School Uniforms for uniform needs.

Educational Opportunities Outside French Camp Academy

High school boarding students (grades 9-12) have the opportunity to attend a career technology program at the Choctaw County Career and Technology Center in Ackerman, Mississippi. Students ride a school bus to Ackerman after lunch and can choose from a variety of vocational classes, including agricultural power and machinery, building trades, business and computer technology, fashion and interior design technology, and technology applications. The students earn credits through these classes, as well as learn specialized career skills.

Our first through sixth-grade boarding students attend French Camp Elementary School, located across the street from French Camp Academy. French Camp Elementary School offers one of the finest elementary education programs in Choctaw County.
