Work Programs

French Camp Academy offers a unique work program with a dual purpose. It provides each boarding student the opportunity to help pay for a Christian education by supplementing tuition and gifts and also serves as a valuable tool for establishing relationships, building character, teaching skills, and preparing young people for future schooling, training, and employment.

Each boarding student participates in the work program or another activity from 3:30 pm – 5:00 pm each weekday and from 9:00 – 12:00 on Saturday mornings. (Day students may also request to be part of the work program). A student trains in one area for nine weeks and then transfers to a new work area for the next nine weeks. This exposes the student to different staff members and develops a range of skill sets.

Some of the work development opportunities available include radio broadcasting, horse care, building maintenance and management, clerical skills, photography, pottery, grounds keeping, woodworking, mechanics, photography, graphic design, and construction. Juniors and seniors can gain experience in resumé writing, interview skills, and exploring career fields.

French Camp Academy believes in cultivating a work ethic in the next generation of employees. Through the years, employers have told us that the FCA work programs effectively develop conscientious, hard-working employees.
